  I organized and led BLM Potsdam NY in June 2020. My son Terron Evans Jr moved to Potsdam in June 2020. He protested with me from the time he got to Potsdam. On 1/8/21 Crystal Hamilton Kipp and her son Brian Gates claimed that Terron committed suicide in their home by taking over 50 Wellbutrin pills. I later found out that they are both police informants. In the autopsy there were no pills found in Terron’s stomach, no pill residue in or around his mouth and no signs of vomiting. There were 5 responding officers to the scene, I only received 1 body cam video from the scene, which was heavily redacted. The officer whose body cam video it was, Jerrid Lavoie, resigned after I called Internal Affairs. The St Lawrence County Chief ADA Jason Marx resigned on the same day Terron’s life was taken. The Lead St Lawrence County Sheriff’s Detective on Terron’s case, Thomas Caringi retired after closing Terron’s case The Potsdam Police Chief Mark Murray, who I called out on Facebook and in an email to the Potsdam Police Reform Committee just hours before Terron’s death, has retired. In March 2023 I finally received some materials from the St Lawrence County Sheriff’s. The Facebook post suicide note was not Terron’s words. The post was on a Facebook page called Spii Mentality, which none of Terron’s family or friends ever knew of prior to his death. There is a sound only interview of Crystal and her son, verbally dated by St Lawrence County Sheriff Thomas McCargar as 1/8/21, but that interview is in a file dated and timed 1/7/21 10:41pm. That’s more than 8 hours before the 911 call or Terron’s death. They never had Terron in their custody. There is so much more to this story. Terron Evans Jr was targeted set up and killed to silence he and I from the Black Lives Matter Potsdam NY Movement and to silence me from continuing to seek truth and Justice for Garrett Phillips and Nick Hillary both of Potsdam NY and holding law enforcement and others accountable for their racism, biases, crimes, corruption and Cover ups.
